The Florinis pepper became international
In an exportable delicatessen, the Naoumidis family highlighted the Florinis red pepper, paving the way for it to be designated PDO. It is typical that the company Piperies Naumidis from Agios Panteleimonas of Florina started the processing of Florina pepper six years ago and today it makes 50% of its sales abroad in France, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, England and the Czech Republic.

THE Petros Naumidis presented at the Agrotica conference the activity of the Naumidis family business that produces and processes innovative products in a handmade way, which exclusively have as raw material the local varieties of the Florinis pepper. In fact, in the context of the conference, he was awarded for his business initiative and his success in highlighting the genuine Florina pepper.
The idea for the family to go into processing was born through the use of Florinis pepper in her restaurant in Agios Panteleimonas. The Naumidis laboratory started processing in 2008 with two or three products and today it manufactures 12 different products based on the Florinis pepper, the most characteristic of which is the musto pepper, i.e. a pepper stuffed with cabbage that is pickled with must and vinegar.
The Naoumidis family grows their peppers organically, at an altitude of 500 meters, with seeds from their own seeds to preserve the authenticity of the product and the entire production process is handmade.
